- @John Smith Apple wastes too much real estate with the bezel. Plenty of other phones available now are not much larger than the iPhone 4/4S with much larger screens. At 4-inches, the next iPhone isn't worth upgrading to. It needs to be at least 4.5-inches to make the upgrade worthwhile.

- I agree. It also doesn't have 300+ ppi which was the pixel density they touted with the iPhone 4/4s. They just lowered the "Retina display" bar to anything with at least 264ppi.

- You said it, the ratio matches TVs and monitors of yesteryear. It should have a 16:9 or 16:10 aspect ratio. Resolution above 1280 x 800 is unnecessary on a device of 10 inches or less. Jobs made a bad choice and stuck to it. Now the Apple marketing folks want to hype the resolution.
